What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
People, scenery, food, weather.
What did you like most about Maldives?
Personal and caring staff at hotel [Angsana Ihuru].
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Nothing.
What did you like least about Maldives?
Sadly the weather could have been better – strong winds, clouds, some rain.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Heritance Kandalama [Dambulla] – Fantastic hotel despite size. Food was excellent and the New Year’s Eve buffet was the best I’ve ever seen! Choice and quality.
The Kandy House [Kandy] – Best of the hotels. Well looked after on my birthday. Food excellent.
Castlereagh Bungalow [Adam’s Peak] – Great situation. Food very good. Attention of staff very good.
The Wallawwa [Airport] – Only one night but very good. All of the rooms were exciting and different. All spotlessly clean and well appointed.
What is your opinion of your resort in Maldives?

What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Niroshan was an excellent driver and guide. English was good and we had no trouble understanding him. Driving (as you know) is exciting in Sri Lanka (!) [and] Niroshan got us from A to B in good time without taking undue risks. We felt relaxed as passengers.
As a travelling companion he was good company.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka and Maldives?
SriLankan Airlines looked after us really well in Business Class. Food good. On time for connections. Smooth flights and good cabin crew.
Any other comments?
We may appear gushing in our comments but this is because we had a great time throughout the whole holiday.
All the accommodation was really different and at each place we were looked after so well. For our birthdays, both of us were given really special treatment. At Angsana Ihuru Margaret was given amazing attention, cake, bed decorations – quite terrific.
Had I known about the train from Kandy to Hatton I would have liked to have gone on it.
As you may gather this holiday met every requirement we were seeking – and more!
