We had a very enjoyable holiday and wanted to thank you for everything you did to make it run so smoothly. Each day was different and all of the places we stayed were beautiful in their own way. Particular highlights were seeing elephants in Uda Walawe and whales and dolphins off the coast of Mirissa, but we also had brilliant days visiting Sigiriya, exploring Kandy and taking the scenic train journey to Ella.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tikalanka as the standard of accommodation was very high. Our driver/guide Boniface was extremely helpful and an expert in navigating Sri Lanka’s roads.
The only area where we could suggest any improvement would be in providing some walking notes for trekking around Ella, as although very beautiful the trails around Ella rock are not well waymarked. Not that this really worried us, as although we got lost we had quite a nice experience being guided back through paddy fields by a local farmer!
