What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Stunning scenery, fascinating wildlife, beautiful people, amazing food!
This just about sums it up but if I had to choose one aspect it would be the warm welcome we received everywhere; everyone was smiling, so pleased to help and genuinely interested in making our holiday experience the best it could be.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Nothing! It is such a fascinating country, there was not anything to dislike – except for me personally, the wood apple fruit! 
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
We felt truly spoilt in all the accommodation; the standard was excellent throughout and the variety made the trip all the more interesting – genuine efforts to make the accommodation as eco friendly as possible were apparent and welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend any of the hotels/resorts [Mahoora Safari Camp, Wilpattu; Wild Grass Nature Resort, Sigiriya; Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa, Passikudah; Gal Oya Lodge, Gal Oya; Madulkelle Tea & Eco Lodge, Knuckles; Villa Hundira, Negombo] but if pressed would say that Gal Oya Lodge was our favourite. Special mention should be made of the naturalist guides who helped us in Wilpattu (sorry, no name but older gentleman) and in Gal Oya (Anrada) – both were very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in what we wanted to do & see; one of our group is an ecologist with a special interest in bats and both naturalists engaged & encouraged her contributions.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Nihal 
We were blessed to have Nihal as our guide & driver; his hard work & care throughout contributed greatly to making this a truly outstanding family holiday during which we made many special memories. From the first day nothing was too much trouble, he considered and anticipated our needs and we all felt truly looked after. Aside from ensuring we were where we should be at any given point, he took the time to show us many aspects of island life, for example a spontaneous stop at a street market, telling us all about the produce; explaining the lifestyle for Sri Lankans’ with regard to education, beliefs etc and generally pointing out things of interest as we travelled. In particular, his expert knowledge of wildlife, trees and plants but especially birds added greatly to our experience and enhanced our enjoyment of the whole holiday. His pride in showing us his country was evident and heartwarming – he is an integral part of our amazing holiday experience!
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
We flew with Emirates and all was good; connections were on time and in flight service, food etc was fine. [London Heathrow – Economy Class]

Thank you! We have had a truly outstanding family holiday during which we made many special memories! Sri Lanka is an amazing country with stunning scenery & wildlife, amazing food and beautiful people who all made us feel so welcome. Thank you so much for all your help with the planning for this once in a lifetime trip, it was perfect with a good pace of activities and rest time in some simply stunning locations and accommodation – every time we left one place we thought it couldn't get any better but it did!
From my first contact by email with John, our special family holiday has been a joy to organise; communication has been timely and responsive with appropriate questions asked about our wishes and an itinerary suggested, then tweaked to ensure the best proposal for us. John’s extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka was immediately obvious and no question too tricky or trivial to answer! THANK YOU to the whole team.
