What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Pleasant climate – pleasant people.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
LEECHES! – in the main forest area and everywhere! [Kelani Valley Forest Reserve, Kitulgala]
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Last hotel – Villa Araliya [Airport] – V. disappointing. Poor breakfast, charge for swimming pool and excessive cost for a few hours extension when hotel obviously not busy. Would have preferred to pay extra for a more positive last night.
Cinnamon Wild [Yala]. V. good as were all others.
Royal River Resort [Kitulgala]. Needs updating and cleaning of some furnishings.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Excellent! Not only a really good driver, his knowledge of Sri Lankan wildlife/birds was extensive. His keen eye and pleasant, helpful manner made the trip. V. caring. [Anura]
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
London – Dubai – Very good A380. [Emirates – Business Class]
Dubai – Colombo – not so good Boeing 777. [Emirates – Business Class]
Any other comments?
Kelani Valley Forest Reserve [Kitulgala] was not a wise choice given our limited walking capabilities and we took the guides advice as to unsuitability. Given the remote position of Royal River Resort we had nothing very much to do instead.
Otherwise well planned.
