What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Everything!! Great food, friendly people and wonderful wildlife.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Travelling through cities!
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Very good. All of the accommodation was great, but some stood out above the rest.
Horthapola Estate [Kandanagedera] was the jewel in the crown, fabulous for acc [accommodation], food and staff - all excellent, could have stayed longer - great start to trip.
[The] Planter’s Bungalow [Ella], Gal Oya Lodge [Gal Oya] and Fort Bliss [Galle] we also loved as they were all special in their own way.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Excellent. Couldn't have had a better guide than Kapila. Great bird spotter, good company and very knowledgeable and helpful.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Flights were good but please note that when we checked in at Colombo AP [airport] our designated seats had already been taken by someone on-line. Sri Lanka [SriLankan] Airlines apologised and did not understand how the system had failed, but finally they kindly resolved the problem by giving us row 20A, 20B. [Economy Class]
Any other comments?
Our whole trip from start to finish was just wonderful. Everything ran smoothly, no problems at all.
The wildlife was fantastic and with Kapila's help we managed to photograph just about everything including a total of 7 leopards.
Only one other comment NOT a complaint, the packed breakfast from Palm Garden Village [Hotel, Anuradhapura] wasn't that good, but one from Ekho SL [EKHO Safari Tissa, Tissamaharama] was the best.
