What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
The beautiful, lush and very diverse scenery.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Tourist overcrowding of popular landmarks and activities.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Wild Grass [Nature Resort, Sigiriya] – Wonderful staff and excellent cuisine. The accommodation could do with an upgrade. Cleaning not so great.
Amaya Bungalow [Kandy] – Superb staff, excellent cuisine and standard of accommodation.
Heritance Tea Factory [Nuwara Eliya] – Good level of accommodation and cuisine. Hotel ambience nothing special, but surrounded by wonderful scenery.
Galle Fort Hotel [Galle] – Top class standard of accommodation. Cuisine overpriced and mediocre. Friendly staff.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Ravi was incredible: Always punctual at whatever time of the day and available for any extra requests we had. He was supremely patient with our ever-changing plans and bore the temperaments of our teenage daughters with a smile. He went far beyond what we had expected, showing us as much of the ‘real’ Sri Lanka as possible.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?

Any other comments?
Our experience in Sri Lanka was extremely positive. Top class service and accommodation from start to finish. Very good advice about avoiding crowded tourist sights [sites] at the wrong times. We climbed Sigiriya at dawn to avoid queueing for more than 5 hours. It was fantastic!
With hindsight, we would have moved a little less often to cut down the amount of driving (with teenagers!).
