What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Green vegetation, beautiful scenery, interesting culture, wildlife, friendly charming people – all on one island.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Nothing.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Every hotel was excellent, each with its own exceptional speciality setting it above others but all equally good.
Charming helpful staff except front desk [at] Galle Face Hotel [Colombo].
Food excellent everywhere.
Grand Udawalawe [Safari Resort, Uda Walawe] suffered from volume of coach parties causing queues and shortages on buffet due to volume of diners but still good.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Ravi was a delight. Always smiling, never phased by some road “moments”. We always arrived safely and on time. He always checked room was available and as booked. He showed us specialities en route and chatted happily on all subjects, Most important – we had fun!
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
SriLankan Airlines excelled. Plenty of water and other drinks to keep hydration up. Clean and comfortable seats. Particular re: take off/landing safety. Impressive. [Economy Class]
Any other comments?
Not only did the itinerary include all of our requests, it ran like clockwork but with time for extras i.e. watching the shore catch landed! We had the best holiday. Every hotel was wonderful – the only exception being Galle Face Hotel where we were not greeted with towel and drink and they wished to immediately charge Rs10,000 to my credit card which if not used would be refunded 3 days later. As we were paying cash – not acceptable. Also, information given on restaurant booking in hotel was incorrect, resulting in last minute dash to be fed – not our planned end of holiday! Also, rude to our driver! All problems were front desk staff.
