What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
So much variety – each destination within the island was different. No chance of being bored! Beautiful country and people.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Probably the 3 hour journey when we first arrived, and Nuwara Eliya was the least enjoyable day. Not very interesting, cold, raining and the train was delayed!
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
1st class.
Favourite accommodation was Taru Villas [Yala Villa] at Yala. It was spectacular!!
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Nihal became part of our holiday and we consider him as a friend. A truly lovely person.
As a guide he proved himself knowledgeable and interesting.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
A necessary evil!! [Emirates – Economy Class – Newcastle]
Any other comments?
We all thought the holiday was first class and we would like to thank you for giving us such a memorable experience.
The only criticism on the itinerary is that the train from Nuwara Eliya booked at 15.55 on 27 Feb was too late. We were hanging around and then it was delayed by 40 mins. Most of the journey took place in the dark so we saw very little. I would recommend booking an earlier train 
[All train journeys are subject to availability on booking, which is explicitly stated in all itineraries. We are able to book train tickets only 30 days prior to departure and, in the peak holiday seasons, trains are very busy and tickets at a premium, which means that sometimes only less favourable trains are available. Unfortunately, train delays are not uncommon in Sri Lanka, which exacerbates the issue. We apologise to our customers for their disappointing train experience but somethings are out of our capable hands, I am afraid.]
