What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
The scenery, particularly in the extensive hilly area and mile after mile of tea plantations.
The friendliness of the people, wherever we went.
The historical sites and the Buddhist temples
The quality of the service in hotels and elsewhere.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
We cannot think of anything we actively disliked.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Galle Face [Hotel, Colombo] - Superb.
Water Garden [Sigiriya] - Glorious.
[The] Kandy House [Kandy] - excellent, ‘though we felt our bedroom a little claustrophobic.
Kumu Beach [Balapitiya] - lovely place and scenic situation.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Niroshan (15 days) was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, as well as being a good driver. We would thoroughly recommend him.
The other driver (Airport to Galle Face and Kumu Beach to airport) was excellent, but incapable of being a guide as his English is very limited.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Arranged by us - Gulf Air business class via Bahrain. Good quality and service, with reasonable inter-flight time.
Any other comments?
John - Overall this was a splendid holiday from start to finish, albeit with a minor hiccup early on. [Due to unforeseen circumstances Niroshan was unable to be at the airport on arrival so one of our trusted drivers collected the customers and transferred them to their first night’s accommodation in Colombo.]
