What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Food.
Safari /wildlife.
Some of the weather.
Whale watching.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Some of the weather did spoil the cultural triangle days.
Airport check-in. [Due to the daytime closure of Colombo airport for essential maintenance between January and April 2017, the check-in process was protracted and slow.]
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Varied as we stayed in 6 or 7 places. Hill Cottage [Nuwara Eliya] probably scores lowest and Buckingham Place [Tangalle] highest where the food and service was excellent.
Also very good food at Zion View [Ella] and Colombo Airport Homestay [Airport].
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
As discussed, chauffeuring very good until Satheesh couldn't find the Colombo sites.
Guiding was not what we expected but then perhaps we asked the wrong questions when booking as we expected qualified guides especially as the itinerary stated “guided tours”.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Good. [SriLankan Airlines – Economy Class]
Any other comments?
Not sure why we needed a 4-wheel drive to Horton Plains. Virtually all other vehicles were normal cars / mini-buses?
