What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Very friendly people and safe environment for tourists.
Diversity of wildlife.
Beautiful scenery (particularly the plantations, national parks and the south-SW coast).
Excellent rice & curry.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Driving risk.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Very good –> Excellent standards; although hotel accommodation itself is expensive relative to other countries and relative to other costs of living and holidaying in Sri Lanka.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Kapila was excellent throughout our holiday; always extremely caring to make our holiday experience the best it could possibly be, and an excellent wildlife guide.
We are particularly grateful to Kapila for taking quick and decisive action in the immediate aftermath of Karen’s dog bite, and ensuring she received the right medical attention (including trips to 2 doctors and 3 hospitals) as soon as possible until we left Sri Lanka.
PS: Karen attended our local GP surgery in Axminster yesterday for her 4th or 5 rabies injections, and the NHS staff at the surgery said they were impressed by the rabies procedures and programme the Sri Lankan hospitals had setup and followed for Karen.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Self-booked via Emirates: business class very good.

John – a big thanks from us for an excellent Sri Lankan holiday experience with Tikalanka. We have been waxing lyrical about both Sri Lanka and Tikalanka to our family and friends, hopefully not boring them too much with >1200 photos between us!
We are already thinking of a return visit in a couple of years; probably geared to seeing the north of the island and perhaps tying in with the Kandy festival in July/August time.
