What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Wide variety of places /scenery to visit, e.g. beach, ancient cities, tea plantations, nature reserves.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Nothing!
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Very good, a nice variety as we moved between areas. The only hotel we didn't enjoy was in Kandy (Queen's Hotel) - bathroom was ancient, room was very noisy (room at front facing lake), service at breakfast was slow and food and drinks were average. Wouldn't recommend that hotel.
We really appreciated Pathi's invitation to dinner at his house - he clearly wanted to compensate for the hotel situation.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Kapila is very knowledgeable and a great travel companion. He went out of his way to show us local wildlife and anything else that we expressed an interest in. We really appreciated his help and professionalism. We would definitely recommend other travellers to ask for Kapila.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Good service and reasonable price. [Emirates from London Gatwick]

Madulkelle [Tea &] Eco Lodge [Knuckles] was wonderful - really special and the staff made us very welcome. Food was amazing.
Palagama Beach Resort [Kalpitiya] was great - lovely location, great food. Dolphin watching trip from hotel was great. Staff very friendly.
Palm [Garden] Village [Hotel] in Anuradhapura - on balance we enjoyed the stay because of the wildlife and setting. Food was poor though which lets the place down. Local dishes were better but took long time to arrive. Foreign dishes were bland and not good. Breakfast was poor - dry food as kept heated all morning.
