Driving in Sri Lanka can be frightening!!
What did you like least about Maldives?
Ugly pipe coming out of sea near our bungalow (#41). Should be hidden / camouflaged.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
All fantastic but our ranking:
1. The Notary’s House [Makandura] – beautiful room and great service – lovely pool – restful.
2. Mountbatten Bungalow [Kandy] – beautiful setting and pool. Service v. slow despite being only residents!!
2. [The] Fort Printers [Galle] – lovely room – great service – good food – good central location.
4. Lake Lodge [Kandalama, Dambulla] – lovely setting – food fussy and small portions – good service – noisy polecats in the roof :( !
5. Zion View [Ella] – busy family hotel – beautiful views – food adequate – service good.

Etihad [Airways] flights – Manchester-Abu Dhabi / Abu Dhabi-Colombo – v. cramped.
SriLankan Airlines [from Colombo] to Malé – v. roomy.
Etihad [Airways] flights – Malé-Abu Dhabi – v. roomy; Abu Dhabi-Manchester – v. cramped.
