What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
The people, the food and the culture.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Nothing.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Excellent although some were quite remote and so did feel a little bit isolated at times although the hosts were all fantastic. May have been better if some were a little closer, within walking distance, to towns/villages. [Many thanks for the feedback. We do try to include some accommodation closer to towns and villages to enable customers to interact with locals independently but a lot of the best places to stay are away from larger centres.]
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Nihal was outstanding. We will send an additional email regarding this aspect as there is simply not enough space to do him justice.
I am not often compelled to write emails like this but the very positive contribution that Nihal made to our holiday and overall experience of Sri Lanka cannot go unmentioned.
Nihal, you were fantastic. From the moment we met you at the airport you were kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and inspirational.
You made our trip so much more enjoyable with your insights and excellent encyclopaedic understanding of the Flora, Fauna, archaeology and history of your fantastic country.
Visits to the sites of historical interest were brought to life with your wonderful narrative and historical appreciation of Sri Lanka past.
We always felt safe in your company especially whilst travelling. The roads and standard of driving in Sri Lanka were a bit of an eye-opener but you negotiated every journey with skill, consideration and thoughtfulness.
You are a credit to the team there in Sri Lanka and to the wider Tikalanka family.
Bravo and thank you so much for all that you did.

This was a truly memorable holiday. We loved Sri Lanka. The Itinerary was fantastic and allowed us to get a real feel for the history and culture of Sri Lanka. All the accommodation was first class. The food was delicious and the people were simply charming. Yes, there is poverty and the tipping culture was a little oppressive at times but overall, this was one of the best-organized trips, up there with the very best holidays we have ever had. Well done to you John and to all of the team who made this such a success. [Really appreciate your very positive comments on your trip with us and we look forward to welcoming you again when you next plan to visit Sri Lanka.]
