What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Variety, people/culture, landscape, family connections.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Road traffic.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Mid-range options – more than adequate for price – apart from Palm Garden [Village] Hotel [Anuradhapura].
All staff made up for occasional inadequacy, e.g. Sorowwa [Resort &] Spa [Habarana] (slightly dirty bathroom), Hotel J [Airport] (broken air con), Hotel Sigiriya [Sigiriya] (pricey & poor wine), Nilaveli Beach Hotel [Nilaveli] (Wi-Fi issues). Palm Garden [Village Hotel] staff seemed really unhappy. We loved Havelock [Place] Bungalow [Colombo]… perfect!
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
We liked Oscar very much; very polite, punctual, accommodating, reasonably knowledgeable, good on wildlife esp. birds. We rather missed him!
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Excellent (we booked our own on SL airways [SriLankan Airlines]) – apart from bag issue caused by LHR.

My husband’s brother is a wheelchair user – would you be able to advise on disability access in hotels etc? He has been to Sri Lanka before, but not in a wheelchair.
