What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Everything….the jeep safari to see the elephants in Minneriya was especially great and Sigiriya was stunning.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
The traffic on the roads!
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Perfect for our family…
Palagama Beach [Kalpitiya] – gorgeous location for getting over the long flight, although our Walauwa Lodge could be a little noisy as next to the staff quarters.
The Other Corner [Habarana] – lovely tranquil setting…manager and staff very friendly.
Hanthana House [Kandy] – beautiful house, lovely food, Pathi & family very welcoming.
Amba Estate [Ella] – gorgeous countryside / tea plantations / walks in mountains.
Number One Mirissa – great location for beach and restaurants, although very noisy music all night from beach bars…needed earplugs!
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Ravi extremely polite and helpful throughout the whole holiday. Very accommodating when we changed the itinerary one day and arranged for Steve to play golf instead.
Small mix up on the train ride to Ella where we should have had first class tickets but turned out they were reserved second class instead. Some confusion when trying to allocate our seats but Ravi did his best to make sure we got to the right carriage before the train left the station.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
As good as any long haul flights can be! [SriLankan Airlines – Economy Class]
