The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has issued an interim order suspending the Cabinet's decision related to online and expatriate visa operations. Consequently, the current visa application platform has been suspended effective from 02 August 2024 at 17.00 Sri Lanka Standard Time.

Until further notice, all travellers should apply for their Visa on Arrival and pay the requisite fees, as follows:

  • Tourist Visa – 30 Days
    • Free Visa implemented for nationals of China, Czech Republic, India, Indonesia, Japan, Maldives, Malaysia, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore & Thailand.
    • For all other countries: US$ 50.
  • Tourist Visa – Standard Visitor Visa (60 Days)
    • SAARC Countries: US$ 35.
    • Non-SAARC: US$ 75.

Please note that certain nationals are not eligible for Visa on Arrival, including Afghanistan, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Palestine, Pakistan & Syria.

For applicants with pending applications, or if you applied after the cut off time, refunds will be processed upon sharing your application reference number to travel.partner@srilankaevisa.lk
